Bandido Set For CMLL Return, AEW‘s Arena Mexico Debut Update
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and CMLL are set to host a trilogy of events in Arena Mexico in June 2025. Current ROH World Champion Bandido, who primarily wrestled for AAA, is now allowed to compete at the upcoming shows. Dave Meltzer reported that Bandido will be part of the events, including the “AEW Dynamite” Grand Slam: Mexico on June 18.
Former ROH World Champion Rush, who left CMLL in 2019, may also return to Arena Mexico, but it will be a challenge due to past issues with the company.
AEW stars are expected to appear at four events from June 17 to June 21. Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay are set to wrestle at the Grand Slam Mexico event on June 18. Omega, the former AAA Mega Champion, had to vacate the title due to injury, making his appearance significant. Ospreay has expressed his desire to wrestle at Arena Mexico, marking a personal milestone for him.
Upcoming events include the Fantastica Mania Mexico card on June 20 and the Sabados de Coliseo event on June 21.
