Arn Anderson Picks Demolition as Top WWE Tag Team Not in Hall of Fame
Legendary WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson recently highlighted Demolition as one of the greatest tag teams that have yet to receive an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. During an episode of his podcast, ARN, Anderson was asked to name some of the best teams in wrestling history that have not been enshrined in the Hall of Fame, and he wasted no time in mentioning Demolition.
Anderson praised Demolition for their impressive reign as tag team champions, holding the titles for over 400 days. He described them as the WWF’s equivalent of the Road Warriors, emphasizing their dominance in the ring. Anderson also mentioned the Brain Busters as the team that eventually dethroned Demolition after their lengthy title reign.
Comprised of Ax (Bill Eadie) and Smash (Barry Darsow), Demolition was a force to be reckoned with in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Despite their success and multiple title reigns, including three WWF Tag Team Championships, Demolition has yet to receive the honor of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, a fact that Anderson and many fans believe should be rectified.
Arn Anderson’s Take on WCW’s World War 3 Match
In addition to discussing Demolition, Arn Anderson also shared his thoughts on WCW’s unique World War 3 match format. This match featured three rings simultaneously hosting 20 wrestlers each, with the final 30 competitors moving into a single ring to conclude the battle royal. While Anderson acknowledged the uniqueness of the match, he expressed concerns about the complexity of having so many wrestlers in multiple rings, making it challenging for fans to follow the action.
For wrestling fans and enthusiasts, Anderson’s insights into both Demolition and WCW’s World War 3 match provide valuable perspectives on the history and evolution of tag team wrestling and innovative match formats in the industry.
