Hank and Tank Retain WWE NXT Tag Titles in Intense Defense
Hank Walker and Tank Ledger successfully defended their WWE NXT Tag Team Championships against Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura in a hard-hitting match on the latest episode of “WWE NXT.” The challengers secured the opportunity after Inamura deceived General Manager Ava into granting them a title shot by faking an emotional departure back to Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan. This defense marked Hank & Tank’s first since claiming the titles from Nathan Frazer and Axiom at Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania 41 weekend.
From the start, Inamura made a strong impact by taking down Ledger, but the champions quickly regrouped and unleashed a series of coordinated tag team maneuvers. Inamura and Briggs also showcased their teamwork with some effective double team attacks. Despite Walker and Ledger’s attempt at executing a Meet in the Middle move, Briggs managed to eliminate Walker from the equation. He then delivered a powerful chokeslam to Ledger, followed by a splash from Inamura. Walker intervened to break the pin, allowing the champions to rally and execute an assisted over-the-shoulder powerslam on Briggs to secure the victory.
