WWE Attitude Era Star Still Considers In-Ring Comeback

WWE Attitude Era Star Contemplates In-Ring Comeback

A familiar face from the WWE Attitude Era is contemplating a return to the ring after nearly 1300 days since his last match. Stevie Richards, a former WWE superstar and 21-time WWE Hardcore Champion, recently discussed the possibility of stepping back into the squared circle. Despite facing a serious medical issue a few years back, Richards seems eager to test his skills once more.

The Itch to Return

During a recent episode of “The Stevie Richards Show,” Richards reflected on his wrestling past and the allure of a potential comeback. He shared, «Once in a while, I get the itch, and I say, ‘Man, I wonder if I could still run the rope, take a bump?’ Or I’ll go to D-Von’s [Dudley] school, and I wonder if I could still roll around with the younger guys. Not take a ton of bumps and get physical at like live rounds, high-level, high-pace type stuff. But I want to see if I can still do it at 53 years old.»

Stevie Richards: A WWE Veteran

Richards made his mark in WWE during the late 1990s and early 2000s, notably as part of the controversial Right to Censor faction and his partnership with Victoria. His tenure with the company lasted until 2008, with his final televised match taking place on July 29 of that year. Since then, Richards has continued to showcase his skills on various independent wrestling circuits.

AEW’s Strategic Move

In a separate development, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) recently announced a strategic decision to host several episodes of “Dynamite” and “Collision” at Philadelphia’s renowned 2300 Arena. This move, scheduled from August 27 to September 11, has garnered praise from wrestling industry veteran Eric Bischoff. On his “83 Weeks” podcast, Bischoff commended AEW’s choice, highlighting the benefits of tapping into nostalgia and streamlining production logistics.

Rhea Ripley’s WWE Favorites

In other news, WWE superstar Rhea Ripley recently shared insights into her favorite matches within the company. While details on her top picks remain undisclosed, Ripley’s acknowledgment adds a personal touch to her wrestling journey.

In conclusion, the wrestling world continues to witness intriguing developments, from potential comebacks to strategic venue choices. As fans eagerly await further updates, the industry remains dynamic and full of surprises.
