Former WWE Wrestler Duke ‘The Dumpster’ Droese Indicted On Attempted Child Exploitation Charge

Former WWE wrestler Duke ‘The Dumpster’ Droese, known off the ring as Mike Droese, faces serious legal trouble in Tennessee. District Attorney General Chris Stanford from the 31st Judicial District revealed that Droese has been indicted on one count of attempted aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. This indictment stems from an incident on 21 April, where Droese allegedly tried to purchase child pornography through a Coinbase account on the dark web. Fortunately, the transaction was flagged and stopped before completion. The FBI was promptly notified, leading to an investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Crimes Against Children Task Force.

After the investigation, Droese surrendered himself to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department and was later released on a $10,000 bond. His arraignment is set for 28 May. At the time of the alleged offense, Droese held the position of DUI Coordinator for the Adult Recovery Court Program in the district. However, he was promptly terminated from this role upon his indictment.

Droese gained fame during his WWE tenure from 1994 to 1996, wrestling under the moniker Duke ‘The Dumpster’ Droese. He engaged in memorable feuds with wrestling icons like Jerry “The King” Lawler and a young Triple H. In a surprising turn of events, he made a cameo appearance in Major League Wrestling’s Battle Riot match in 2023. Despite these accomplishments, Droese has remained silent on the indictment, with legal proceedings ongoing.

Latest Update on Vince McMahon’s Legal Battles

In a separate legal development, the ongoing WWE shareholder lawsuit has taken a new turn. Plaintiffs involved in the lawsuit have petitioned the Delaware Court of Chancery to compel Vince McMahon, the former WWE Chairman, to adhere to discovery requests. Court documents suggest that McMahon is either resisting or delaying full compliance with the discovery process related to the lawsuit filed last year concerning the TKO merger.

In conclusion, the wrestling world is abuzz with legal challenges, from the indictment of former WWE star Duke ‘The Dumpster’ Droese to the ongoing legal battles involving Vince McMahon. These events underscore the complex legal landscape surrounding the wrestling industry.
