Mercedes Mone’s Challenge to Toni Storm
Mercedes Mone, the AEW TBS Champion, believes that there isn’t enough room for two top women in AEW. Despite preparing to battle Jamie Hayter in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup finals at AEW Double or Nothing, Mone has her sights set on the AEW Women’s World Champion.
Toni Storm’s Victory and Confrontation
During “Dynamite,” Toni Storm emerged victorious against Miyu Yamashita in an AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator Match. Following her win, Storm was confronted by Mercedes Mone, the NJPW Strong Women’s Champion and Queen of Southside Champion. Mone made it clear that she intends to add the AEW Women’s World Title to her collection after defeating Hayter at Double or Nothing. Hayter then intervened, reminding Mone to keep an eye on her as well.
Upcoming Matches and Stakes
The showdown between Hayter and Mone is set for May 25 at the PPV event. The victor will go on to face Storm at All In: Texas in July. Mone has maintained an undefeated streak since claiming the AEW TBS Championship at last year’s Double or Nothing. The event will also feature the Men’s Owen Hart Cup finals.
