WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi has made a significant impact in the world of professional wrestling and WWE, achieving the championship title within just two years of his debut. The talented Nigerian wrestler has set his sights on facing the legendary Brock Lesnar, stating that a showdown between the two would be the main event of any wrestling show.
During an appearance on the “No-Contest Wrestling” podcast, the 27-year-old athlete discussed the potential matchup with Lesnar, envisioning an intense and thrilling encounter between the two. “It’s going to be carnage. It’s one of those things that you have to see, ’cause you can’t explain what is going to be,” expressed the champion. “I think, Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar sells tickets, I think it’s the main event of whatever show it’s going to be on. I think it’s going to be incredible.”
Despite uncertainty surrounding a potential match due to Lesnar’s involvement in the Vince McMahon sexual assault allegations, Femi remains hopeful. Lesnar’s last WWE match was against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam in August 2023, and he has been absent from the wrestling scene since then.
Reflecting on iconic WWE matches, Oba Femi highlighted the WrestleMania 31 bout between Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, and Seth Rollins as a deserving entry into the WWE Hall of Fame. “WrestleMania 31, Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar with Rollins cashing in at the end. I think at some point that goes in the Hall of Fame for sure,” remarked Femi.
Additionally, the NXT Champion, who previously excelled in shot put, commended Lesnar’s daughter for her achievements in the sport.
